Liz, Kirk, and I recently braved the cold for an engagement session. We met with wedding planner Heather Bryson of Carolina Wedding Design (highly recommended) at their home and set off to a local park and and around my studio in NoDa. Another idea they had was to take a few shots at the uptown ice skating rink. While there, I noticed a nearby spot with lights in the trees that would also make for a nice shot. I have to say the ice skating shots were some of the more difficult I have ever done. Low light, crowded ice rink. That made shooting the NFL on Sundays seem like child’s play.
In the end it paid off. Here are a few of my favorites of the day….
