Talia and Jon were married at St Matthews Catholic Church and held their reception at Firethorne Country Club. They both are huge Bills and Sabres fans. There must be something in the Buffalo water, because their crowd definitely knew how to get down.

Alison and Richard’s wedding was at the Spring Valley Presbyterian Church in Columbia, SC. Their reception went late into the evening at the Columbia Marriott. Entertainment was provided by Still Cruzin, a live band that specializes in Shag and R&B.

Julie and Shawn held their wedding at Christ Covenant Church in Matthews. It was a candle lit service, which typically is difficult to shoot but pays off in the character and atmosphere of the photos. Their reception was held at Providence Country Club. Ranson House Bridals

I just felt like sharing some recent bridal portraits from the Ranson House. The Ranson House is located in Huntersville, NC just off of highway 115 and is a great venue for weddings and portraits.

My portraiture style ranges from fashion editorial to traditional. I find that many brides want to break the norm in their bridals, while many mothers of the bride prefer the traditional portraits. I try to accommodate both in the same session.

Megan and Carter were married at the Forest Hills United Methodist Church in Concord, NC. Their reception was located at the Concord Convention Center on Speedway Blvd. The couple made their exit in a sweet antique Rolls Royce courtesy of the English Carriage Company.

Elysha and Josh were married at the Belk Chapel and held their reception at the Magnolia Room in Rock Hill, SC. Their day was planned by Kristin Dernosek. Vince from Split Second kept the reception hopping. Dancing was non stop until midnight.

Jessica and Eric were married at the Dairy Barn which is a part of the Anne Springs Close Greenway. Jessica and her brides maids started their day at Belle Vive in Fort Mill getting prepared for the day. Even though it was extremely dark, I decided to shoot the ceremony using only the natural light provided. I did not want to risk taking away from the character and atmosphere of the barn. The dairy barn is known in photography circles at the place with the green lights. For the cake cutting, additional flashes were used on radio triggers to minimize the green hue the lights give off. The extra preparation looks to have paid off.

Michelle and Kevin were married at the Ballantyne Resort with the reception held in their ballroom. They had a fantastic cake made by Elizabeth Delights. Music and entertainment was provided by All the Right Grooves. The reception was wild and ran late into the evening.

Laura and Corey were married at the Dilworth United Methodist Church and held their reception at Las Ramblas on Park Rd. The food was spectacular and the dancing went late into the evening. Laura’s flowers were done by The Blossom Shop also on Park Rd.

Ruby and Jon were married on May 10, 2008 at the amazing Carrigan Farms rock quarry. This venue is like no other in the Charlotte area. It features a sandy beach area and water filled rock quarry fed by warm springs. The reception featured a live band under a dimly lit covering. It was a very casual and fun wedding with great atmosphere. Ruby’s makeup was done by Who’s the Fairest.
