Congrats to Cristyle and Andrew!

Cristyle and Andrew were nice enough to play host to me in Palm Beach, Florida so that I could capture their day. Cristyle felt comfortable enough to let me have unlimited creative license, and she and Andrew were up for anything (as pictured below).

Really enjoying my trip… enough typing…the beach calling.bounce houses

Blog Bonus! My favorite bridal portrait taken outside my studio…

Congrats to Ashley and Doug!

Ashley and Doug were married at Davidson College Presbyterian Church and held their reception just two buildings over. Her wedding was planned by Style Perfect Weddings and Events and entertainment provided by Vinny with Split Second Sound who always gets the reception hopping.

A sign was made for Ashley’s brother who is currently serving in Afghanistan but remained in everyone’s thoughts. Ashley and Doug had also prepared a special dance (pictured below) that they executed flawlessly.

Congrats to Jacqueline and Michael!

Jacqueline and Michael were married at the Palisades Country Club in Charlotte, NC. They held a traditional Jewish ceremony complete with Ketubah that was written in Hebrew, English, and Spanish, a nod to their cultural diversity. There were several Rabbis in attendance, including the groom. The crowd was extremely festive and the dancing went late into the evening.

Interesting note, I found out during the wedding one of our engagement session pictures is being used by JDate as a huge ad in Time Square…

Congrats to Morgan and Austin

Morgan and Austin were married at The Point in Mooresville. Despite a torrential down pour during the ceremony, the day went off without a hitch. Luckily, we were able to sneak out before the rain started to grab some fun photos the Lake offers. The spirits were high and the dancing went late into the evening.

Congrats to Chrissy and Justin…

Chrissy and Justin are two coffee lovers that were married at the First Baptist Church in Huntersville and held their reception at Asbury Park Grove, also in Huntersville, NC. The two are ordained ministers who met at Wake Forest University.

We braved the rain armed with an umbrella for a few fun portraits, somethign not every bride has a chance to do!

All in all it was a spirited night with plenty of fellowship and dancing with family and friends…

What the heck is happening here? Believe it or not, this effect was done in camera and was intentional. Showing the energy of the dance floor is something not done enough in this industry!

Congrats to Allison and Aaron!

Allison and Aaron were married at the Ballantyne Country Club and held their reception there as well. Their traditional jewish ceremony was conducted indoors, a challenging task for any photographer. If at all possible I typically avoid the use of any flash during a ceremony. It tends to take away form the ambiance of the moment as well as become a major distraction from such an important moment.

Congrats to Amy and Ryan…

Amy and Ryan were married in Augusta, GA at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church and held their reception at The Lodge on Heath. This was the second wedding I have photographed for Ryan’s family. Amy and Ryan have a rowdy group of friends, making the after party last early into the morning.

Congrats to Katy and Mike…

You may remember Katy and Mike from the wet n wild engagement session from earlier in the year. They were married at the Amity Presbyterian Church in Charlotte and held their reception at the Mint Museum. Though daylight was limited, we did find time during the reception for some fun shots (example below).

Makeup was provided by Kymm who always can be relied upon to do a fantastic job. Cake Lady Jill did the amazing cake shown below.

All in all a great day and fun wedding to shoot!

Congrats to Deborah and Gibbon!

Deborah and Gibbon were married at the First Presbyterian Church in uptown Charlotte and held their reception at the Van Landingham off of The Plaza. Deborah’s wedding planner was Priscilla from Orangerie Events and was a pleasure to work with, highly recommended.

Music was provided by the live band Hipshack who I had not worked with before. They did a great job of keeping the dance floor moving and was a great fit for this fun crowd.
